Phuket, Thailand

Heavy is expensive. Heavy is cumbersome. If you can make something light, you can make it bigger. You can turn it into a shell. You can turn it into a structure. Lightness is the way for us to challenge gravity

For a series of structures at the Xana Beach Club, Enter
Projects Asia conceived nature-based forms, somewhere between a mushroom, a parasol and a beach umbrella.
The forms are freestanding and deliberately out of scale
and out of context, a focal point that is in contrast with the traditional surrounding building form.
One of the first resorts on the island of Phuket, Xana Beach Club is owned by Angsana Properties, which operates a chain of luxury hotels and residences around South East Asia.
